About verdigris

Verdigris is the soft blue-green that copper and bronze take on over decades outdoors. Reproducing it on iron is a finishing job, not a paint job: the colour has to sit in the recesses and wear away on the raised edges, the way real weathering works. Ours is built up in layers and rubbed back by hand over the forged foliage, so the green pools around the leaf veins and the high points stay closer to bare metal. No two pieces finish identically.

Care

Dust with a dry, soft cloth and use a soft brush around the foliage. Do not use chemical polish or metal cleaner, as either will strip the verdigris back to bare iron.
