Wrought Iron Swedish Chandelier

A Swedish-style ring chandelier in matte black iron. The form is stripped back to a plain band carrying candle arms, with none of the scrollwork or foliage found elsewhere in this collection. It is the piece to choose when the room already has enough going on, and it is one of the few here that works under a low ceiling.

Scandinavian restraint

Swedish lighting of this type was made for long winters and small rooms: get the light where it is needed, keep the fixture out of the way, and let the shape do the work. That thinking shows in the proportions. The ring is wide but shallow, so the lights spread across the room instead of pooling under a tall body, and there is no drop below the band to eat headroom. Ours is forged from solid stock and closed by hand, with the matte black finish applied over clean, dressed ironwork.

• Rooms with low ceilings. The shallow ring is the reason to pick this design.
• Bedrooms. Quiet enough not to dominate the room.
• Dining rooms in Scandinavian, minimal or contemporary interiors.

Low ceilings

This is the design we recommend when ceiling height is tight. Even so, allow at least 2.1 m from the floor to the lowest point in a walkway, and keep the chain as short as the fitting allows. Send us your ceiling height and we will supply the chain cut to length.

Made to order in Saharanpur

Handcrafted in our own workshop. Ring diameter, arm count, chain drop and finish can all be changed, with alternatives in antique bronze, verdigris and pale silver. Bulk and project orders are quoted factory-direct. We ship across India and worldwide.
