Teakwood Majesty Multi-Tier Chandelier

A three-tier chandelier in solid teak wood with wrought iron accents, holding twelve candle lights across stacked circular rings. At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide it is a genuinely large piece, built for double-height rooms where the tiers can be seen properly from below.

Teak bent into rings, not cut into them

The rings that carry each tier are the defining feature of this chandelier, and they are the hard part. A ring cut from flat board would show short grain at the curves and split in time. These are built from teak worked around the curve so the grain follows the ring, then pinned with iron studs at the joints, which is both structural and the reason you can see rivet heads around each tier. The curved arms that sweep down from the base are shaped the same way. It is furniture-making applied to a light fitting.

Where this chandelier works best

• Double-height living rooms and foyers. The tiers need to be seen from below to work.
• Large dining rooms. Hang so the lowest tier sits 75 to 85 cm above the table.

Ceiling height and drop

At 120 cm tall plus a 100 cm chain, this fixture can take up over 2 m of vertical space before the lowest point is reached. The chain is adjustable and can be shortened, but the body itself cannot, so a standard 10 ft ceiling is the practical minimum and a double-height room is where it belongs. Send us your ceiling height and we will confirm the drop before making it.

Living with solid teak

Teak moves slightly with humidity, which is normal in solid wood and not a fault. Fine hairline marks may appear at joints over the first season as the piece settles into your climate. Keep it away from direct air-conditioning flow and direct sunlight, both of which dry the wood faster than it should dry.
