Rustic Brown 2-Tier Wood Chandelier Pendant Light - 12 Heads, Curved Metal Arm - for Living Room

A two-tier French country chandelier, 38 inches tall and 33.5 inches across, with a turned whitewashed wood column and candle cups set on a rust-brown metal frame. The second tier is what makes it: it lifts the silhouette and gives the piece the height to hold a double-height room.

Why two tiers instead of one wide ring

You can cover the same floor area with a single wide tier, but it will read flat from below and it will need far more width to do it. Stacking the lights in two tiers builds the chandelier upward instead, so it keeps a compact 33.5 inch footprint while standing 38 inches tall. In a room with height to spare, that vertical shape fills the volume properly, where a single-tier fixture of the same light count would look like it was floating.

Where this chandelier works best

• Double-height living rooms and entrance halls. The vertical form needs the volume.
• Large dining rooms. Hang so the lowest point sits 75 to 85 cm above the table.

Ceiling height

At 38 inches tall the body alone takes up over 3 ft before any chain is added. On a standard 9 ft ceiling that leaves very little room, so this design belongs in a room of 11 ft or more, or a double-height space. Send us your ceiling height and we will tell you honestly whether this size works or recommend the single-tier version instead.

Care

Dust the whitewashed wood dry, using a soft brush around the turned column and candle cups. Do not use water, polish or wax on the whitewash.
