Midnight Blossom Chandelier

Slender forged iron leaves and clustered berries wind along curving branches on this six-light chandelier, spreading outward into a wide foliage canopy rather than gathering into a tight cluster. At 85 cm across and only 65 cm tall, it is broad and low, which is a shape that suits a room with normal ceiling height.

Wide rather than tall

Most chandeliers of this light count gain their presence by hanging low. This one gains it by spreading wide. The branches reach out almost level before the candle arms turn up, so the fixture covers a large visual area while keeping its lowest point high. In practice that means it fills a dining room or living room without anyone having to duck under it, and it works under a standard ceiling where a tall chandelier would not.

Hanging it

The chain adjusts between 70 cm and 150 cm, so the drop can be set on site. Over a dining table, hang it so the lowest point sits 75 to 85 cm above the table top. At 6.5 to 7.5 kg it can be fixed to a standard ceiling point, but check that the fixing is into structure rather than plasterboard alone.
