Imperial Bloom Chandelier
The Imperial Bloom Chandelier is the largest piece we build — a three-tier, 49-light fixture with a hand-turned teak wood column at its centre and forty-nine wrought iron arms sweeping outward from it. It is made for double-height rooms: grand foyers, stairwell voids, banquet halls and temple interiors where a normal chandelier disappears against the ceiling. Every arm is bent and welded by hand in our Saharanpur workshop, and the central column is turned on a lathe from a single seasoned teak section rather than assembled from blocks.
How the three tiers are built
The arms are arranged in three descending rings. The widest ring sits at the top and carries the longest arms; the middle and lower rings step inward, so the light falls in layers instead of one flat plane. Iron acanthus leaf castings wrap the column where each tier meets it, hiding the joints and carrying the weight of the arm cluster. Because the rings nest, the chandelier reads as a single blooming form from below — which is where it will actually be seen.
Teak and wrought iron, nothing else
Two materials only. The column, the collars and the forty-nine candle sleeves are solid teak, hand-turned and finished with a warm honey-toned lacquer that lets the grain show. Everything that carries load — arms, rings, chain, canopy — is wrought iron, hand-forged and finished in a dark antique black. We do not use resin or aluminium anywhere on this piece.
Wiring and bulbs
Forty-nine E14 candle-base lamp holders, wired for 220–240V. We recommend warm-white LED candle bulbs (2700K) across all forty-nine points — at this count LEDs keep both the heat and the running cost down, and the colour stays even for the life of the fixture. The internal wiring runs inside the iron arms, so no cable is visible from the floor.
Installation you should plan for
This is a heavy fixture and it is not a DIY installation. It hangs from a chain and must be anchored to a structural beam or a proper concrete hook rated for the load — never to a false ceiling, gypsum board or a plain ceiling rose. The frame folds for transit, which is how it reaches site through ordinary doorways and stairwells; it is then opened out and the arms locked into position during installation. Allow for scaffolding or a hydraulic platform, and plan the drop so the lowest tier clears the floor of the upper level.
Care
Dust the iron with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep water away from the teak column and sleeves — wipe them dry immediately if they get wet, and use a little furniture wax once a year to keep the wood from drying out. Do not use ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners on either material; they strip the lacquer off the wood and dull the antique finish on the iron.
Ordering direct from the workshop
We manufacture in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh and ship direct — there is no importer or showroom margin in the price. Light count, tier diameter, chain drop and wood finish can all be changed to suit your ceiling height. For hotel, banquet, temple or multi-unit projects, send us your ceiling height and floor plan and we will quote the build.
