Haven Shelf Floor Lamp

A 160 cm tripod floor lamp with three round wooden shelves stacked inside a matte black metal frame, topped with a 36 cm linen shade. The shelves step outward as they descend, from 20 cm at the top to 34 cm at the bottom, so the whole piece tapers the way the frame does.

Three shelves, three sizes

Most shelf lamps repeat one shelf size. Here the diameters change with the frame: 20 cm at the top, 25 cm in the middle, 34 cm at the bottom. That is not only a visual decision. The widest shelf sits lowest, which is where you want to put the heaviest things, and it keeps the weight near the floor on a lamp that stands 160 cm tall on a 50 cm base.

Loading the shelves

Keep the heavier items on the bottom 34 cm shelf and light things on the 20 cm top shelf. A tripod with a 50 cm footprint is stable, but weight carried high on any tall lamp reduces that. The 180 cm cord is long enough to reach a skirting socket from a sofa corner without an extension.

Care

Wipe the matte black frame with a barely damp cloth and dry it; matte finishes show fingerprints more than gloss. Dust the wooden shelves dry and wipe spills at once. Brush or vacuum the linen shade on low suction.
