Flowers and vines on a ring

The ring gives the piece its structure and the botanical work gives it its character. Flowers are formed petal by petal and set into vines that wrap the band, with the gilding applied over the raised work so the blooms catch light against the darker iron behind. Dust with a dry, soft cloth and use a soft brush between the flowers and vines. Avoid chemical polish, which will dull the gilding.
