Farmhouse 6-Light Wood Chandelier French Country Candle Ceiling Light for Dining Room

A six-light French country chandelier with a whitewashed wooden column and candle cups, hung on a rust-brown metal frame with small wooden bell drops between the arms. At 22.5 inches across with a 59 inch adjustable chain, it is sized for a normal dining room and it can be hung high or low.

Two-tone by design

The wood on this piece is whitewashed while the metal is left a warm rust brown, and the contrast is what makes the design work. The pale wood picks up the light and keeps the chandelier from disappearing against a dark ceiling, while the darker frame recedes so the arms read as thin lines rather than as bulk. The small bell-shaped wooden drops hanging between the arms repeat the whitewash at a lower level, which fills the space under the candles without adding weight.

Sloped ceilings

This chandelier is designed to hang correctly from a sloped ceiling as well as a flat one, which many chandeliers are not. The canopy and chain allow the fixture to hang plumb even when the ceiling above it is angled, so it suits attic rooms, loft conversions, cottages and any room with a pitched roof. Tell us the pitch when you order and we will confirm the hardware.

Care

Dust the whitewashed wood dry, with a soft brush around the carved cups and bell drops. Do not use water, polish or wax on the whitewash, as any of these will darken it unevenly.
