French Wrought Iron Chandelier with Horse-Head Details

Forged horse-head motifs give this wrought iron chandelier a distinctly equestrian character, each one shaped by hand to catch movement in the dark metal framework. The horse-head motif, forged by hand

The horse heads are the reason this piece exists. Each one is worked individually at the forge, heated, drawn, and shaped with hand tools until the muzzle, jaw and mane read correctly at viewing distance. A cast copy loses that. Hammer marks and slight variations between the heads are what make the motif look alive rather than stamped, so expect small differences from one head to the next. That is the craft, not a defect.
